What a Weekend!

What a week this has been. Work has been super busy, I got to see the finished commercial video and even share it with my colleagues, and I finally managed to sort myself out with a little Christmas tree! With a christmas tree comes a certain little christmas spirit, and so I’ve had the pleasure of getting on with the calendar my mum sent me. Always great to have some nice tea now that the cold is visiting..
ImageImageImage
I also got to go to London for the weekend! What a treat! My friend Christos invited me to be his “date” for the traditional christmas ball at the army base he’s stationed at. Never say no to that!
Image
ImageImage
The first thing I always do when arriving in London is to go to the nearest coffee shop and get a taste of that delicious London coffee! Brings back so many memories!
Image
Image
The first thing we did was to go to Camden and meet up with Christopher’s sister, Natasha, who we enjoyed some delicious sushi with. I also finally got to meet the new born (six month year old) little womanizer!
ImageImage
A proper killer with the ladies, just went straight for a kiss as soon as we met. I didn’t mind.. Oh Sammy!
Image
Then we began our mission in hope of trying to find a suiting dress for the party. No easy .. Apparently not the dress season in London at the moment! Took us forever (4 hours to be exact!). Eventually we found one that could work and headed for Winchester.
Image
The next day we woke up to breakfast with some of the other soldiers and their dates before going to check out the christmas market in town. Absolutely gorgeous! Molded wine, the unbelievable crowd and all the interesting booths. I was really nice!
Image
After some walking about we decided to go for some early dinner, all six of us. We ended up at the oldest pub in the whole of UK, the Royal Oak. I was brilliant! Really cool place and tasteful food. Then it was time to walk our way through the shiny town ready for some proper preparations before the big night.
Image
Forgot to metion that I actually helped out a little big. Made this pretty boards and helped fold all the menus and name cards. Just saying .. I help!
Image
All of a sudden time had passed and everyone had to meet outside for some more molded wine and christmas lights.
Image
They even had a Santa and a Hagrid! Both pretty intoxicated, but it only made it more fun!
Image
After an hour outside it was time to head in for some food and free wine. People were more than polite and rather generous! Not sure how I did compared to all the manners, but I’m sure I did fine. Never quite know how to act at these parties.. Guess practice makes perfect! Not that I’m there yet.
Image
Image
Enjoyed some lovely goose for dinner, which we had to cut ourselves. Luckily, there were some volunteers! Hah, would have been rather fun watching me embarrass myself trying to cut a goose for the first time. I think I saved us all a good laugh there!
Image
Image
The next morning I woke up looking prettier than ever (being ironic.. sure you noticed) and ready for just about anything. As long as it didn’t involve actually waking up. Managed to do the impossible and get out anyway, then head back to London to meet up with some of Christos friends before leaving my favourite place on the planet. Really nice people and a proper nice breakfast! Can’t remember the last time I actually ate pancakes. And for breakfast?! Delicious!
Image
Image
Time simply flew by and all of a sudden I’d ended up at the airport where I was trying to buy a perfume for christmas but my card wouldn’t let me.. Then, out of nowhere, the boss of the company I work for popped up behind me! I have to admit, I felt pretty stupid trying to pay with three different cards and being rejected by all of them. In front of the boss of the company! Not my boss, no, he’s my boss’s boss.. Quite the coincident, but a rather pleasant one actually. Always better than flying alone I suppose.
Image
As I arrived in Palma I noticed that my body was about to shut down again. A combination of half a cold and too little sleep doesn’t really work well on me. Hah, and today? I was such a mess at the office. But it wasn’t only me. My computer wouldn’t start, so I had to borrow someone else’s. That left me without any of my documents even though I’d logged in on my own user. Heavily coughing and half sleeping doesn’t count as a good day at work. That’s for sure!
Image
However, a nice facial and a warm bed might do the trick.. Time for some rest and hopefully the trick to solve my whole “situation” that has been going on for too long now. I don’t like feeling useless. Oh well..
Night night!

The Greatest Mother of Them All!

Today has been a pretty rough day. I woke up unable to speak yet more than eager to cough my sore throat out! At first I thought “I’ll just stay home.. There no use for me in the office when I’m like this”. But then I thought “who are you kidding, you’re a strong woman. Get up and get ready and then everything will get better as soon as you get into it a little..”. Yup, that’s what I thought however, it’s not what happened. I got to work, started working, noticed that my head was getting heavier as the hours passed, my throat simply getting worse. Didn’t really feel very useful at all, but still managed to get some work done. Thank God.
Image
On the way home my colleague who so kindly drives me forth and back from work every day, asked me to join her for a glass of wine whilst waiting for her nail appointment to start. We chatted for a while before she had to leave, but then as I entered my home I found this waiting by the door..
Image
Don’t I just have the greatest mother? She sent me the sweetest tea calendar and even added a rating list so that I can find which tea I prefer the most.
Image
This may not be much for some, but this is more than enough for me. It made me smile and gave my heart that warm feeling you sometimes get when someone makes you really happy and loved. Like.. “Lovehappy”.
I just want to say thank you to my mother who also made me proper mailbox signs. She is simply the greatest of them all, and I love her very deeply! Thank you mummy, can’t wait to see you for christmas!
Good night to you all! It’s time I let my body rest for a change..
xx

Keepin’ It Up!

So…. I’ve finally entered a rather sporty and active mood. The reason why there is a definite finally in there is because up until now, I’ve been very good at saying “I’m going to work out, and loose the useless wight, finally get my stile right..” and so on and so on! However, I actually have a good feeling about it this time. Started on Friday, then continued on Sunday. Hell, I even dropped everything just so that I could provide some proper sweat on Monday and TODAY.
Image
I aint saying that it’s easy. Oh no, I mean.. I feel the intense burn throughout my whole body every time I try to push it just a little too far. And I have to admit, I do feel pretty stupid whilst doing it, which is one of the good reasons why it’s so great to live on my own. No one around to watch (or judge). You have to remember, I haven’t been working out properly for about 3, if not 4 years now. And let me tell you.. It aint pretty! And though I sometimes feel pretty good about myself for actually going through with this, I manage to constantly let everyone who watches me run witness just how good it feels. Just imagine, you’re finally getting your grove on, running like an athlete (not exactly..), listening to some proper motivational music, and then without noticing, you’re no longer running, no, you’re dancing.
Image
I’m not sure whether this is a good thing, though it sure feels good. I probably shouldn’t be dancing around on the street though. Might need to take this a little more “boring serious” if you know what I mean? I’m already taking it serious, but I kinda like to get my own twist on things.. Hah, I’ve had so many people stopping, wondering if I’m talking to myself (which I obviously do.. all the time) when I’m actually just mumbling the song I’m listening to. A. Bit. Too. Loud..
I’ve even had people who do a little shake as I pass by, and I make sure to send a little shake right back. Not in a bad way!
Image
On a more serious note, I had a guy following me yesterday as I was running through Cala Major. That was not as fun. He was on his bike and kept driving next to me really slowly. He even stopped at every drive in we passed and started honking his horn and shouting things. I kept pretending not to notice him and just kept walking, and after literally 15 minutes of keeping up with me, he finally left me alone. Creep. After this I’ve decided not to run when it’s dark. You never know who you might meet .. Plus, daylight always makes me more excited!
Image
I’ve even been good at filling my fridge with veggies! Loads of them! Ok, so this meal might not look like the healthiest meal to come up with, but I swear there were plenty of vegetables next to this, I just couldn’t add them all on the plate. It was pretty full already..
Image
One thing I yet have to get used to is the washing up part after every freaking meal. That’s the least fun thing I do all day. Every. F***. Day. It’s just not that fun anymore. I remember I used to love it as a kid, now I just leave it in the hope of someone else doing it. Then I realise that I’m all on my own. Ups and downs, my dear..
Image
Something I’ve noticed lately is that there truly are some odd countries entering my blog now and then. This was two days ago, when I noticed that someone in South Africa came on a visit. What? Maybe I know someone who’s on holiday there or something, in that case I have to thank you for making my visitors list more exotic!
Image
Another thing I’ve noticed is how tight my sports bra is.. Wink Wink.. No? Ok. Moreover, I have actually noticed something. The radio, and how much joy it bring to a poor lonely soul like my own. Ever since my mother came to visit, months ago, I simply can’t seem to wake up without listening to my favourite morning show, P3 Morgen. It is Norwegian and it includes three genius people who bring a solid dose of laughter into my fairly tiring morning routine. I almost feel like I’m next to them, or in the same room. It’s brilliant!
Image
If you’re like me and a have serious problem about getting up in the morning, then I definitely recommend trying them out!
Image
Here a little photo I took earlier today. I thought I would share it with you to brag a little bit about how organised I am. It might seem like a doll thing to do, to keep track of everything you spend, but I’m excited about what this year will look like. Money wise.. I know for a fact that I have bought more healthy veggies than fancy clothes! That’s an improvement worth mentioning! Another thing I thought was worth mentioning is that I finally have a little heating buddy in my flat. He might be tiny but he sure knows how to heat it up! He just needs a little time sometimes.. Nah, I’m kidding. He’s great!ImageThere, I’m about to snooze off.. It’s been a long day and I’ve done enough cardio to last at least.. 2 days. My thighs literally locked themselves and wouldn’t let me finish my workout, so I had to change it up and do a little more ab work than first planned. Not that I mind working on my belly.. Need to remove this facial mask and dry my hair and then it’s straight to bed!

Night night!

You Finish One And Prepare For Another..

What a great to finish this week! I have now worked out like crazy, cooked, cleaned, organised.. Pretty much done everything! The great thing about my neighbourhood is that there are plenty of hills and stairs, which comes in handy for someone who’s trying to work on their but and thighs! Also, I am a little obsessed with architecture and design and find it very interesting to explore all the brilliant properties around here! The houses are absolutely gorgeous! Just my luck!
Image
Image
It’s also interesting to see how different the nature here in Palma is compared to Norway. I’m not surprised by the fact that most plants are different, I’m more impressed by how significant they are. And I was pretty amassed by this tree. Is it meant to be a christmas tree? Kind of looks like one. A crappy one for that matter.. Still adorable though.
Image
Another thing that made an impression on me today, was the way some properties were being protected. Pretty frightening for an intruder, I’d say. Good thing I was only passing by (this time 😉 .. Kidding!
Image
Image
After my run I did this some insane ab-workout! It was painful like he**! I did a workout on Friday, before the Lowcost Holidays christmas party, but forgot to stretch afterwards. I’m telling you, that’ll never happen again! So I searched for some yoga exercises to make sure I stretched properly this time.
Image
Image
Speaking of the christmas party! I guess I forgot to mention that earlier. I was pretty bummed after watching all of my friends in Norway running off to their christmas parties while I was visiting. This sure made up for it though! I didn’t take many pictures, was having too much fun on the dance floor! Everyone had to dress up in 70’s style. I didn’t really have anything to wear, but managed to through on something similar to what I’d imagine the hippies wore back then. Peace and love, that’s my thing ..!
Image
From one job to another. Here are some “behind the scene” pics that my boss took whilst we were shooting. Look at them big hips and  juicy thighs .. I need to work out. Well, I don’t really know what the photographer actually captured.. Maybe he zoomed in? Still, will be nice to get into shape!
Image
Here we are in the laboratory. Pedro was showing loads of science stuff which I clearly understood. Nodded and agreed to everything he said. I can be pretty convincing.. Just wait and see! The video comes out in February, from what I know so far. It won’t be more than a minute long, but then again, it’s only a commercial.
Image
Here we have our two Miguels. The one in front is my boss/colleague who I work with, the one behind him is the other Miguel, the photographer. And the people in the background are the real scientists. I’m not even sure if scientist is the right word, but it sounds important, which is what these people are. So.. All goody! And doesn’t the first Miguel seem pretty convincing? All he did was to put on a coat and pretend to know what he was talking about. Such a fake .. Did a good job though!
ImageImage
And lucky me! The people at the laboratory were kind enough to hand me some samples they’ve been working on. Looks kind of scary, don’t you think? Looks like drugs.. But they’re great! Nutrition, hydration, some calming liquid is what they gave me as a gift. That’s all the dark bottles. Then we have the white one, which is the product that I’m representing. It’s a spray that is set to prevent acne. I’ll probably make a post when the commercial comes out where I can explain this further.Image
Another thing I did today, was to prepare some christmas decorations. I still haven’t decided where I want to hang all my stars, I just trying out a few different spots on the wall. It is already filled with holes from the previous people who lived in this apartment, so I’m trying to take advantage of that instead of making new ones. But as some might know, I am rather picky when it comes to how it looks in my apartment.. We’ll see.
ImageImage
Now I’m about to start on this little project. I have gathered all my receipts so that I can organise my financials. Need to work out what I’m actually spending money on, and start prioritising what’s important. Not that I’m not already doing so, I just want it on paper.. Should be fun. Alright, enjoy your evening and make sure you get enough sleep to start off the week in a happy mood! No later than 11pm!

One of Them Moods

Some days I wake up and think “Man, I’m fat!”. And you know, it’s not one of them ‘it’s so sad’ thoughts, even though it does bug me. A lot! I really wish I was thinner, healthier, and simply better. I want to be the best I can be, not because I want to impress others, but because I want to impress myself! I want to be the best version of myself without the influence of what others think. Now, I know that others will always have an effect on me no matter what I say or do, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting what I want. Image
You see all these pictures and fake allusion of what the media tells us we should look like. And though I realise that it’s all photoshop and ridiculous, it still kind of drives my mind into thinking “that’s who/how I want to be”. Not uncommon, not at all. It’s just what the media does. And I know that for some, this has a really bad influence and is part of creating health problems and eating disorders. I can’t say it has the same influence on me, at least not yet (and hopefully never). I mean, look at the picture above. If I was to follow the direction the media is pointing me to, I would have changed ages ago.. I’ve got big thighs, a bumpy belly, spots (which I so kindly share with you lucky bastards..) and many other no-no’s. However, I am determined to improve on all this the healthy way. It might take me forever, or it might work out surprisingly quick. Yeah, I’m thinking this might take some time, but at least I’m finally doing something!
Image
MY TIPS!
As you may know, I’m now living on my own and have been for about three months. That’s nothing, I know. However, it’s more than long enough to start embracing the fact that I can pretty much do anything without being judged! For some reason I’ve always been really embarrassed about doing things in front of others, even though the things I’m talking about are absolutely normal things. Like running. In some cases, I would literally let the bus pass rather than run after it just so that I would make it to my appointment. Or any other type of movement or activity that doesn’t involve standing still and not making yourself noticed. It’s ridiculous, I know, but it’s just how my brain works. Alright, back to my tip.Image
As you can see on the pictures I’ve posted (except from the one of my blumpy body and spotty face), they all show ways of how you can embrace the fact that you are living on your own. For instance, if you’re terrible at cooking, like me.. Use the internet to find easy ways to cook something other than burned toast or pasta with ketchup. I am great at not caring about how I feed my body, and it’s a proper shame. That is why I have decided to try out something different and better. I just need to get my bankcard first.. But don’t worry, it’s not expensive! There are so many great tips on how to make delicious meals for less than $3!
Another tip is: Use the internet to help you find easy ways to work on your body. There are billions of videos you can watch if you need motivation to start working out. Again, like me. I have been an expert on just staying in bed and watching series, which is probably one of the worst things I could do. One thing is eating unhealthy, another thing is to not be active. No wonder I look like a bean bag with legs.Image
I know that living on your own probably means that you don’t have a lot of money or equipment around, neither do I! I don’t have a yoga mat or weights or any other gym stuff. However, I do have a rug and a towel. This creates the perfect yoga mat! And the brilliant thing is that you don’t even need clothes to perform exercises! That’s something the internet taught me. Most of the women in the work out videos are basically naked. Though I would recommend wearing some panties and a bra. Most preferably a sports bra. Do you see where I’m going with this? Yes, living on your own is the perfect scenario for those who prefer to walk around naked. BUT, it is also the perfect scenario for those who like to do things without having people watching (and without spending a fortune)!
Image
Ok, enough typing! Time to make some serious changes! Sweat, work and cook. That should be my new motto. Or not. Anyways, it’s important to realise that your body won’t just change if you don’t actually work for it. I now have a job that requires a whole lot of sitting still. And my math exam certainly didn’t help with the sitting still part. Everyday I woke up, sat down, then went to bed. But I don’t longer have that as an excuse. It’s all on me now and I am ready to take action. Just do it. -Nike.

A Pretty Good Day!

As you might have realised due to all the blimming photos and posts I’ve posted, though I have to admit, I haven’t been too bad. It’s just that every time I post something on Instagram, it always pops up on Twitter and Facebook, the same goes for the two other. Ergo, if I post one this, it pops up three times. I realise I need to fix this.. It’s annoying!
Image
Anyways, as I was saying.. I shot a commercial today! My very first proper “in front of the camera by myself” experience and it was pretty fun! Having a camera following your almost every move is not something I’m very used to (unless my phone, it goes everywhere with me!
Image
It genially was the perfect day for a shoot! 18 degrees and beautiful sun! Plus the perfect ending to yet another stressful week! I’ve been working extra hours all week, which has been highly needed! That office is like a carrousel! Always plenty to do, but such a good experience though! Plus great people. Though I’m not too keep on being stuck in front of a computer all day. Oh and yes.. Perfect ending because…. BANK HOLIDAY TOMORROW! Perfect timing! I need a day where I can sleep in, go for a run, clean my place and decorate for christmas. Plus organise my life a little, a never ending project!
Image
So here’s a little glimpse from my day : ) I truly enjoyed!
ImageImage
Ok, first of all, the view was amazing! We went to Port de Andraitx, about 20-30 min from Palma, where I’ve been many times before. But it’s still gorgeous as always!
Image
This was my company for the day. The photographer and my two bosses/colleagues.
ImageImageImage
Image
I got one last glimpse of the sun before walking behind this tree and into the laboratory where all the excitement happened..
ImageImage
Above here is a pic of the photographer, Miguel, who was wobbling around like a little kid filming everything he came across.. A proper professional, no doubt. Can’t wait to see how it all turns out in the end! Under here is where I sat whilst saying my lines. A laboratory suddenly turned into a commercial set.
ImageImage
Then it was a little business prep before leaving, all pointing fingers .. There you have the boss of the laboratory, Pedro, in the chair. He joined me in the video, showed me around and taught me loads! Which I don’t remember.. Damn it!
Image
Image
All in all though, I had such an amazing day today and enjoyed every minute of it! Can’t wait to see the final product and what the next will be! I hope you’re all as excited as I am to see this commercial come to life. It is being said that we are launching early February, guess we’ll just have to wait until then..
Image
It has been over four weeks since I owned a wine bottle so I decided to celebrate a little tonight and enjoyed a glass. NOT more than a glass. Promise!
Image
According to my family I post way to many pictures and comments about wine, so I thought I would reassure them that I only enjoyed a little glass tonight. Haven’t even finished it yet. Not sure I will do either. So no need to worry! Crazy…

Alright! Time to undo my bed and pack myself in! Still don’t have any form for heating in this place! Might finally get one tomorrow, that would be nice! Until now the only form for heating has been my very own body warmth. Nice enough but not for long.. Anyways.
Night night! Sweet dreams! Make sure to follow them!

Something exciting is about to happen..!

Image
Alright peeps, something exciting is about to happen. Can you tell I’m excited? No? The big smile on my face doesn’t give it away? Really?!
Image
Welllll…. I might have something exciting that I want to share with you. Exciting for me anyways, maybe even a little exciting for you. When it comes out. (?)
Image
But hey, I’m plying it cool alright! No one’s aloud to treat me any differently or give me gifts or whatever. I mean, let’s be real. I’m still going to be the same person.
Image
Can you imagine what it is yet? Any ideas of what it is I’m going to do? Any? Well, I am going to do something I really enjoy doing. I’m going to act a little. Promote even more. Any idea?
Image
I am going to shoot a COMMERCIAL VIDEO! Yap! For those of you who don’t know me well enough, I love acting and performing. I’ve had the pleasant opportunity to take the stage a few times, which has been somewhat a dream come true! It is such a great experience and I would love to do it again. Now, this is not exactly the same thing, but it will be a video that will be shared through the social media, which means that there will be an even broader audience than just the people behind the big lights. Not that that actually matters too much, it just enlightens the feeling of sharing the fun. Annnd, I thought it would be nice to look back at some of my old memories of how it has been to perform, as a child and a somewhat young woman. Enjoy the pics, you know I will 🙂
Image
I started dancing ballet when I was four. Did a whole lot of other things as well, had to try out everything.. I have done countless of shows for friends and family, which unfortunately has been caught on camera. Neh, who am I kidding? Everyone loves watching funny (and highly embarrassing) videos of themselves from when they were younger.. I was such a weird kid!
Image
I keep dancing for about 10 years, before getting more serious about school and traveling (hence, exchange year in the UK). But as I returned for my final year of school, I could help myself to apply for the school revue.
ImageImageImage
I had the absolute time of my life! Never have I ever done that many shows in a row, with people coming to watch every night. Might not have been a packed hall for every show, but the premiere was unbelievable! People were actually standing along the wall because it was too crowded. I even messed up, but no one noticed!! It was our worst performance ever, but no one knew. Right, well it’s time to find an appropriate outfit for tomorrow, learn my lines and throw on a facial mask!

Sweet dreams 🙂
